Dear Visitor: more videos will be uploaded when time permits. I need to attend to my patients, too! Please check again soon!

There are several laparoscopic operations that may be successfully used to achieve the much desired goals of weight loss and restoration of health. In other words, if you want to lose a lot of weight (fat) and/or get control over diabetes, high blood pressure, etc. then your surgeon may choose one for you, after detailed discussion of the pros and cons of each.

The procedures are (click on each for details):

1. GASTRIC BYPASS

2. SLEEVE GASTRECTOMY

3. ADJUSTABLE GASTRIC BANDING

4. DUODENAL SWITCH

5. BILIOPANCREATIC DIVERSION (BPD or Scopinaro procedure)

6. GASTRIC PLICATION

  1. I would like a sleeve gastrectomy.
Is there information about attention decific disorder and if sleeve gastrectomy?
I have BMI 35 and got a diagnose of attention decific disorder last year. I´m taking concerta to improve my impulsive behavior and to improve my concentration.

    Sincerely your,
    Susanne Eriksson

  2. Susanne:
This would really need a proper evaluation. What does your GP think? We need to treat the whole of you, and not have a piecemeal approach. Therefore, a good evaluation will make all the difference! Best of luck, and keep me updated!
